On day 2 of my trip to Tasmania, I was joined by Todd Rattray for the Tasracing & Nutrien Equine - Standardbred yearling sale on March 1st. Todd is a talented young horseman who is preparing a yearling for the sale. The colt, sired by Stay Hungry and out of Fuscienne, belongs to the Beautide family and is sure to attract attention from many potential buyers.

I am currently in Tasmania for the Tasracing & Nutrien Equine - Standardbred Yearling Sale, taking place on March 1st. Ian Abraham is participating in this sale for the first time, offering two colts: Lot 13, a Poster Boy out of Barooga Daisy, and Lot 26, a Bettors Wish out of Barooga Minnie.

**Breeding a Champion!** I recently spoke with Pat Driscoll about what it takes to breed a champion trotter. One of the standout horses, Just Believe, bred by Yabby Dam Farms, has dominated the racing scene, winning nearly every major race in Australia and New Zealand. However, he is not the only exceptional trotter produced by Haras des Trotteurs Stallions. The Locomotive won the 2024 Inter-Dominion, with Keayang Chucky finishing in second place, among many other outstanding trotters. Pat shared valuable insights into how he selects the stallions that represent Haras des Trotteurs, emphasizing that success is no accident.
